PROGRAM PARTNER APPLICATION

We believe there is no one solution or approach to combating substance use disorders and that everyone should do what they do best. That is why we work with the best community-based organizations in the field.

Since our inception in 2016, we have provided over $700,000 in support to our program partners, all providing essential services within the area of substance abuse. The majority of our grants are awarded in the area of adolescent substance use treatment and prevention and seek to identify worthy areas for social investment including research, education, diagnosis, and family support.

This year, and to make it easier for organizations to apply for support, we are accepting video proposals or "pitches." Simply record a 5-minute video presenting your organization and how you make an impact in your community. Select organizations will be invited to proceed to the next round, which will consist of video panel interviews, where select organizations will be invited to proceed to the final round, which will include an invitation to submit a formal grant application.

We will be accepting video grant proposals from existing and new partners starting February 7- March 25, 2022. The average size of our grants ranges from $5,000-to $25,000.

APPLICATION GUIDELINES

Requirements

Your organization must be a 501(c)(3) organization and serve the Greater Washington, D.C. region.

Your organization must address substance use disorders, through prevention, education, treatment, or research.

application timeline

Applications are accepted from February 7 - March 25, 2022.

Elgible video applications will be reviewed and voted on by the Second Genesis Foundation’s Board of Directors.

Organizations proceeding to the next round of interviews will be notified by April 22, 2022.

video guidelines

Create a 3-5min video, with your Executive Director presenting your organization, mission, impact, and goals for 2022.

Clearly present your “ask” and why you would like to become a program partner with the Second Genesis Foundation.

The videos can be shot with any video device, including camera phones, but make sure the video and audio quality is clear.
